As a homeowner, there are a lot of things you need to think about as you prepare to list your home. If you follow these steps and along with my guidance the process can be as simple as possible.

CONTACT YOUR MORTGAGE PROVIDER

As always the first thing to think about is the financial aspect of selling your home. You should check-in with your mortgage provider and see if there are any penalties that you will have to pay for transporting your mortgage to a new property, or if you choose to buy out the mortgage.

If you’re are unsure of what to be asking your mortgage provider I can provide you with this information.

PREPARING YOUR HOME FOR SALE

I will take a walk through your property and let you know what I think should be done in order to ready your home for hitting the market. Some tips will include de-cluttering, and patching up dents, scratches etc. Once I tour through your home I will be able to give tips specific to your property.

PERSONALIZED MARKETING PLAN

I will use my knowledge and expertise to create a marketing plan for your property that will have the most effective reach. I will use a combination of print materials, targeted social media ads and my real estate database to ensure that the people who need to see your property are seeing it.

PRICE YOUR PROPERTY RIGHT

Through thorough research in your community, which will include active and sold properties, I will advise you on an appropriate list price for your property.

It is extremely important that your home is priced properly when it first comes onto the market. By pricing your property right in the first place you are more likely to receive realistic offers and your chances of a quick sale are increased.
